Straight hairs are always in demand and in style. They are feminine and give image of fullness to a woman. They are easy to manage in all weathers. Whole lots of treatments are available to get straight hair. They range from simple natural way to use of chemicals.
Let us start with natural methods which do not use heat or conditioners
DRYING WITH BRUSH:
Just use brush or wide- tooted comb to comb the hair after washing them. Continue to comb them after every five minutes until they are completely dry. You can use oil for making hair soft or for shining as well. This is one of the simplest ways to get straight hair.
COLD WATER WASH:
Cold water wash with a straightening conditioners and shampoo is also effective way to make hair straight. After using hot water, change water and start washing hair in cold water, the cold water will loosen the knots while giving you extra shine. Comb with wide tooted comb when hair are wet until they are dry.
USE OF MILK AND HONEY:
Mix one cup of milk with two tablespoonfuls of honey and apply the mask on hair and the keep this mask on hair for about an hour. Then wash with straighten shampoo and conditioner. Let them dry naturally for best results.
USE OF HAIR BANDS:
Use hair bands on damp hair and keep them for night. Make one or two ponytails at the back of head depending on the volume of the hair. Then use hair bands on section horizontally. The bands should not be tight; otherwise ridges will come on hair. In the morning remove the bands for straight hair experience.
COMB WET HAIR TIGHTLY:
Divide wet hair into section and comb these sections. Then wrap left section to the back of the head and comb right section and secure with clips on the back same way. Use cover if using this at night. This would give you straight hair in the morning.
USE OF OILS:
Olive oil, coconut oil and sesame oil are heated slightly and massaged on the scalp for at least 15 minutes. Then cover the head and wash with shampoo and use wide tooted comb to dry the hair.
COCONUT MILK:
One cup of coconut milk is added with one lemon juice and after keeping it in refrigerator for some time. Use it when cream appears on the top of mixer. Massage the scalp with this cream for some time. Then wash hair with shampoo and comb the hair with comb when still wet.
FULLER ‘S EARTH:
Make paste of one cup of multani mitti and egg white and two tablespoonfuls of rice flour and enough water to make paste. Apply this paste on the scalp and on hairs and distribute evenly by fingers or wide toothed comb. Wash hair after at least an hour with shampoo. Comb and air dry.
ALOE VERA:
The moisture quality of this plant keeps hair straight. Mix one cup of aloe vera juice with some drops of rosemary and sandalwood oil. Massage the scalp with this paste and then wash hair after two hours with mild shampoo. Dry naturally. Do not use drier.
ALMOND OIL:
Add some drops of almond oil in conditioner, and use in the same way as you use conditioner. The almond oil will give you extra shine with straighten hairs.
CELERY LEAVES:
Extract juice from celery leaves and strain the juice before apply it on scalp and hair. Evenly distribute the juice in hair with wide tooted comb. After an hour wash the hairs and use blow drier gently to dry hair. Brush or comb then slowly.
USE OF STRAIGHTENING SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONERS:
Washing hair with straightening shampoo and conditioners and using straightening serum will give desire result. Keep hairs in conditioner for at least half an hour. After washing and towel drying apply heat protection spray evenly. Then blow dry hair while brushing at the same time. After drying completely use light styling product or mousse for hold straightening layers.

PERMANENTLY STRAIGHTENING HAIR.
Relaxer is used to permanently straightening hair. This comes in pack with two creams or pastes. They have to be mixed before using them
- Use chemical jelly to protect the skin before applying
- Take one section of hair and apply mixed paste on hair.
- Use wide tooted comb to make sure that relaxer is applied on all sides of hair.
- Wait for the time mentioned on the pack and then wash hair getting rid of all the relaxer.
- Use the shampoo which is provided with the pack or any other shampoo.
- Use conditioner which also comes with the pack of relaxer.
- Dry hair with towel. And do any straight hair style.
Precaution in applying relaxer.
- It should never come in contact with skin.
- Never use carelessly, it may go inside ears or eyes.
- Uses gloves while apply on hair.
- After apply relaxer, never dry more than the time mentioned on pack.
- Apply relaxer first on small strand to see how hair reacts.
- Completely remove any residual of relaxer in hair wash.
- Apply relaxer only on hair not on scalp.
- It will not work on hair previously treated with relaxer.

- Any other curly style cannot work on hairs once treated with relaxer.

- . The chemical and heat that is used can damaged the hair; it can also cause hair to loss to natural shine and become dull.
- ALLERGY: chemicals can cause allergy to skin and eyes. The itching, rash, redness of skin are sign of allergy.
- SAME STYLE: Permanent straightening won’t allow you to have different styles. It can result in monotonous style for you always.
- HAIR FALL: Improper use of chemicals or use of low quality chemicals can weaken the roots of hairs leading to their eventual fall.
